After the first round of trees have been planted in 2023 and a second batch followed in 2024. 2025 we're only planting pioneer trees. Yes, they should have been planted before all the other trees. But better late than never, right?
The pioneer trees have an important function in our food forest: They grow super fast and high and will provide much needed shade for the fruit trees growing next to them. Some of them are also edible, have medicinal values or fix nitrogen in the ground.
