Create your own Food Forest Workshop

Grow food the way nature intended.

September 13th, 2025 10am–5pm

Design a low-maintenance, high-yield garden inspired by nature.

Ready to grow an abundant, low-maintenance garden that practically takes care of itself? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to design your own food forest—a layered, self-sustaining system of fruits, herbs, vegetables, and more, modeled after natural ecosystems.

We’ll cover the basics of soil health, plant guilds, water management, and layout planning, so you can start building a food-producing paradise—whether in your backyard, homestead, or community space.

No prior experience needed—just a love for nature and good food!

What You’ll Learn

In this hands-on course, you’ll discover:

  • How to plan and set up a Food Forest.

  • Two different models of Agroforestry.

  • How to observe and work with natural patterns.

  • Ways to grow food sustainably while building healthy soil.

  • How to choose the right plants for different layers (trees, shrubs, herbs, ground cover, roots, climbers)

  • Techniques for water retention and drought-resilience

  • Understanding plant guilds and companion planting

You will get a full tour of our three year old food forest, a shared meal from our garden and a booklet with all the infos to take home.
